Ken comes to PETTECH Solutions following significant experience in senior roles in the Health Care and Pharmaceutical sector. He previously worked with several Pharmaceutical companies in Sales & Marketing roles, and he has had the opportunity to set up two businesses.
Ken finished his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from University of New England, Armidale, majoring in Marketing, and is excited with the task of building PETTECH Solutions in the Australian Market, and working with the professional team providing a reliable service and building relationships in the PET market.
Ken was born in Sydney and enjoys the active lifestyle that an international city like Sydney offers, taking advantage of the outdoors with sport and also the wonderful opportunity to enjoy restaurants and shows. Ken enjoys competitive rowing and braves the early hours in the endeavour to maintain fitness and healthy lifestyle, and is a keen supporter of the NRL Dragons and the NSW Waratahs. He is also keenly involved in his local church. Ken is married with 4 children.
Sam started at PETTECH in 2009 as Production Team Leader. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2011. Sam was instrumental in bringing the facility online and progressing through to the powerhouse of FDG production that it is today. Sam completed a BSc/LLB in the early 2000’s. Sam’s interests are any form of Sport, both as a spectator and a participant.
Jana started at PETTECH in March 2009 as one of the first QC/Manufacturing Chemists. In March 2011 she was promoted to her current position of Production Team Leader. Jana’s role includes overseeing all areas production from manufacture of the raw isotope F18 to delivery of the sterile product to the customer. Jana has received valuable experience at PETTECH, having the opportunity to be a part of the initial start up phase of the state of the art facility. Aiding Jana in her position is her previous employment with Nalco Australia as a Quality Control Chemist after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney.
In addition to her love of chemistry, in her spare time, Jana enjoys snowboarding and spending time with her children.
After completing his Medical Science degree at the Western Sydney University, Michael started out his career in quality control in the FMCG sector. He joined PETTECH Solutions in December 2011 as a QC/Production Chemist and has since moved into the cyclotron engineering role. Michael is now responsible for all maintenance and high performing yields on both 11MeV cyclotrons in the PETTECH facility while still continuing his role as a QC/Production Chemist. In the past outside of work, Michael participated in competitive dragonboat rowing at a national and international level. Nowadays, he maintains a high active lifestyle that includes activities such as soccer, gym and competitive dodgeball.
Consulato Cara PhD
Consulato joined PETTECH Solutions as a Quality Control/Production Chemist in May 2015.
A Wollongong boy at heart, Consulato completed his Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry with an Advanced Honours (First Class) at the University of Wollongong. His appreciation for chemistry led him to also complete a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Wollongong, where he developed methods for the further application of carbohydrates in the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
Consulato has broad expertise in the chemistry that underpins the manufacture and testing of radiopharmaceuticals produced at PETTECH’s Lucas Heights facility. Working across multiple departments, Consulato relishes the highly regulated work environment at PETTECH Solutions. As such, the broad exposure of Consulato’s role at PETTECH Solutions has brought with it substantial insight into the radiopharmaceutical market.
Consulato enjoys a range of activities including reading and playing in video games, to playing futsal and soccer. Consulato is also an avid supporter of the St George Illawarra Dragons, and Liverpool FC in the English Premier League.
Thompson started at PETTECH in April 2016 as a Production Chemist in hope to gain some industry experience just after graduating from University. Before PETTECH Thompson was working at a another company radio pharmaceutical company as a QC Chemist while studying a Bachelors of Forensic Science in Applied Chemistry at UTS. His previous experience at this company enabled him to transition to PETTECH and transitioned well. Recently Thompson has also taken on the role of QC Chemist and is in the process of becoming one of the best QC Chemist in PETTECH. His interest outside of work includes going to the gym, going for a drive, travelling and gaming on PC.
Jonny started at PETTECH in February 2016 as a QC Production Chemist. He studied at the University of Wollongong where he completed a Science degree, majoring in Nutrition. Previous to PETTECH Jonny was new to the radiopharmaceutical industry but had a great interest in chemistry which led him to PETTECH. Jonny’s hobbies include weightlifting at the gym and watching sports like the NRL where he is an avid supporter of the Penrith Panthers.
Lubna Noorani PhD
Lubna started at PETTECH in April 2016 as a QC Team Leader. Lubna is responsible for ensuring PETTECH’s high standards are consistently met. Throughout her career she has developed extensive knowledge of quality systems, GMP/GLP and team leadership.
Lubna has completed her PhD from University of NSW in the area of drug development and she also worked at Cancer research Laboratory at St George Hospital where she involved with drug delivery studies on new innovative therapies.
Her interest outside works ranges from participating in cultural program to volunteering community works. She spends her leisure time by watching movies, cooking and reading books/articles.
